To start, you’ll need to get down onto all fours, in a tabletop position. As you inhale, lift your hips and shoulders while lowering your stomach. As you exhale, release your hips and shoulders while lifting your back and spine. Repeat several times, using your breath to guide you.

This asana assists you in relaxing, improving concentration and relieving stress.

To start, lie on your back with your legs straight. Lay your arms along the side of your body, closing the eyes and paying attention to your breathing. This is the perfect position to practice deep breathing.

  1. Child’s Pose

This asana can help you release your back, open your hips and calm the body.

Start by sitting on your knees with your bum resting just above your heels. Slowly walk your hands forward, leaning the body forwards as you go along. Once your hands are out in front of you, try to rest your head on your mat for a few seconds before returning to the starting position.

  1. Supine Twist

This asana has been found to calm the mind, reduce back pain, improve digestion and open the shoulders.

Start by lying on your back with your knees bent, keeping your feet firmly on the ground. Spread your arms out and then slowly drop your knees to the right side of your body. Hold the position for a few seconds before dropping your knees to the left side.
