Posted on

Plants have a profound effect on our mental state. Studies have shown that the natural patterns found in plants, ones that we most often can’t really see, can improve such issues as depression and anxiety. Not only that, but they’re great for making the living space look nicer without having to add any unnecessary clutter.

Indoor plants are also usually easier to grow than their outdoor neighbours and are less picky about the amount of light they need and how often they require watering. If you’re looking to start filling up your home with indoor plants, these are the best to choose from.

Snake Plant

Snake plants are often offered come in a few different varieties, and will almost always grow straight up, meaning that they don’t need a lot of space. And because they’re succulents, they’re fairly easy to keep alive, only needing a bit of water every now and again. While it hasn’t been fully proven, many people also believe that snake plants are able to purify the air of any room that they’re in.

It works well in most rooms, but it would make a great addition to a living room or entryway thanks to its bright and attractive colours.

Parlor Palm

This tropical plant almost looks like a small bamboo, and hails from more tropical regions. It tends to grow larger than most other indoor plants, making it a perfect fit for an empty corner. They’re extremely easy to keep alive and will do their best when they’re exposed to low levels of light, perfect for having in a lounge or gaming room when enjoying gambling sites in NZ.

They’re pet-friendly, and only need to be watered every few weeks. Parlor Palms are the perfect choice for the person that wants to fill their home up with greenery but doesn’t have the time to expend looking after all of it.
