A lack of appreciation paired with an unwillingness to examine is the foundation of most stereotypes, and when it comes to yoga, this is true. Preconceived notions about the practice have been giving off the wrong impression, making people less willing to attempt yoga, when the truth is, these myths are not at all true and as soon as you give it a try, you’ll find that yoga is a truly holistic and gratifying experience.

Yoga Is For Women

Many view yoga as an exercise that solely females are allowed to do when in fact, the exercise was first led through men. So many individuals have been led to believe this due to the fact of the flexibility associated with the practice as well as the mindfulness that goes along with it. You Need To Be Flexible

The truth is, while you need some degree of flexibility to go practice the different asanas, you do not need to be next level flexible from the get-go. Flexibility comes with practice and a lot of dedication. We have already mentioned that yoga is an ongoing journey, and as such, you may not grasp it in the beginning. It is a way of getting to be aware of yourself and your body.

Following this thought, do not push yourself to take on hard poses if you are not yet in a position to, you will harm yourself. Take your time and slowly work your way up to more tricky asanas.

Yoga Is Glorified Stretching
